Made in Oslo centres on a fertility doctor who refuses to give up the dream of having children of her own. ELIN (40) is an intelligent, privileged person, in a time and culture where we expect to get what we want. She runs a fertility clinic with her ex, and treats hopeful couples with wisdom and professionalism. In private, however, she is like a junkie, unable to face reality. Her willingness to risk her marriage, stepdaughter, career and life's work is contrary to all reason and logic. Elin is driven by instinct, and she has the opportunity to play God in her own clinic. She is both powerless and powerful. Obsessed and driven… How far will she go to get what she wants? Made in Oslo is a witty, warm and significant drama that addresses the conflict between what’s primitive and civilized within us and between us. Are we as humans, wise enough to balance technological possibilities with our instinctive desires, and so manage our own future?
